Back in the Swing

I'm back home after seven weeks in Vegas covering the World Series of Poker, and I think I've been averaging about 12 hours of sleep a night. I've re-introduced myself to my friends, brought my cat back home (oh, joy) and learned to my horror that the brewpub located just a stone's throw away from my flat has closed it's doors for good. Disappear for two months and the world goes all topsy-turvy.

The WSOP is over...which means it's time to reorient our attention to another major attraction on the poker calendar--the 2008 Aruba Poker Classic! Vegas has it's charms, don't get me wrong, but it's hard to top lounging on the beach in a tropical paradise. And when you get knocked out of a World Series event, all you have to look forward to is the parking lot of the Rio. Whereas in Aruba, if you take a bad beat, well, it really ain't that bad:

The Classic starts on September 27th. So you have just a bit more than two months to secure your seat. How might you go about that? Details to follow...
